Dr. Olga Burlyuk is a Post-Doctoral Assistant at the Centre for EU Studies. She holds a PhD in International Relations degree from the University of Kent (UK). Her doctoral dissertation focused on the European Union’s rule of law promotion policy in Ukraine. Previously, she obtained an MA in European Studies degree from the University of Maastricht (NL) and a Specialist in Law degree from the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” (UA). Olga’s research interests lay in the sphere of EU external relations, in particular its efforts to transform third states and their societies through the promotion of democracy, the rule of law and human rights, as well as trade and development cooperation. The (Eastern) European neighbourhood and Ukraine in particular is her area of specialisation.
